Ophthalmic curettes are surgical instruments used in ophthalmology to scrape and remove tissues or foreign bodies from the surface or inside of the eye. They are designed with a small, spoon-shaped or oval scoop on one end that can be used to scrape or scoop out tissue.

Curettes may be used in procedures such as removing lesions from the conjunctiva or cornea, or removing debris or infection from the eyelid margin. They may also be used in procedures such as a corneal transplant or corneal biopsy.

There are many types of ophthalmic curettes available, including corneal curettes, conjunctival curettes, and lid curettes. They come in different sizes and shapes to suit different needs and can be made of materials such as stainless steel or titanium.
