PKT stands for “press, knife, and tweak,” which refers to the process of using pressure, a sharp instrument, and fine-tuning to shape the wax material used in the dental restoration process.

PKT waxing instruments typically consist of a handle with a thin, sharp tip that can be used to carve and shape the wax material. They may also come with interchangeable tips to create different shapes and contours.
